슬픈 음악은 무엇일까?
듣는 사람이 감정, 상황 그리고 노래에 얶힌 이야기에 따라 다를 것이다.
그렇더라도 원초적으로 슬픈 노래가 있다. 그중에 하나가 Gloomy Sunday이다.
슬픈 멜로디와 이야기(스토리텔링)가 함께하는 노래, 그래서 더욱 슬프게 들린다. 부르는 가수의 삶이 더해지니 노래는 더욱 더 슬프게 들려온다.
Marianne Faithfull은 더욱 슬프다. 그녀의 과거를 진하게 머금고 있는 듯하다.
나는 그녀가 좋았다. 지금도 좋다. 그녀의 영화 이리나팜도 좋다. 영화속의 퇴물이 된 그녀가 실제의 그녀 모습처럼 느껴진다. 또한 얼마 후 아니 지금의 우리의 모습일지도 모른다는 생각에 슬픔은 더 진하게 전달된다.
